What age does my child need to be to attend?

Your child must be age 3 by Dec 31 of the school year enrolled.

Is Haysboro Preschool Licensed?

Yes. Haysboro Community Preschool is a licensed program operating under the province of Alberta Social Care Facilities Licensing Act and Regulations located at Calgary Rocky View Multi-Service Team. We maintain current accreditation by (Alberta Health & Safety). 

How many children are in each class?

Our classes are intentionally kept small, with a maximum of 15 students per program.

Are teachers certified?

Yes. Our teachers are experienced, university-educated early childhood educators.

How does preschool help prepare children for kindergarten?

Our preschool program helps children develop confidence, independence, routines, social skills, emotional regulation, communication skills, and early literacy and numeracy foundations.

Are parents required to volunteer?

Parent involvement is an important and expected part of our community preschool model. Volunteer requirements include in-class support opportunities, fundraising and other possible opportunities.

What should my child bring to preschool?

Your child will require:

• A pair of indoor shoes with toes

• A change of clothes

• A nut-free snack

• A water bottle

Is there outdoor play?

Yes, outdoor play and movement are important parts of our program whenever possible.  Weather permitting, our students will play at the Haysboro community natural playground daily.
